Amidst our 80 years of history, the first Nobel Laureate in Economics Distinguished Lecture was organised in 1988. It was delivered by Professor Milton Friedman, winner of the 1976 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics.
In HKU Business School, we believe it would be best for students to learn from the elites. Fast-forward to the present day, we still excel in thought leadership and organise numerous events inviting industry experts to come and inspire our students, with the most recent event being a dialogue between our Dean Cai and Professor Paul Robert Milgrom, 2020 Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences, at the Caixin Summit in November 2020.
